Winter is a magical time of year, fi lled with plenty of winter
activities to participate in, while exploring our pristine
wonderlands of snow-laden forests, meadows, frozen lakes, and
rolling white hills. Mount Timothy Ski Hill, just south of Williams
Lake, offers an inexpensive way for beginner or expert skiers and
snowboarders to enjoy 33 spectacular runs via a triple chair lift.
Strap on some snowshoes to discover the Central Cariboo's
back country, or even venture out onto a frozen lake to enjoy
some ice fi shing. Cross-country skiers can
delight in exploring an expansive
network of trails that exist
throughout the area. Just north of
Williams Lake is Bull Mountain,
which has 36.5 kms of regularly
maintained trails, and 3.5 kms of
night trails. Wonderful touring
opportunities also await you in Gavin
Lake and Horsefl y. Though these are the
most well-known trail networks, it must be
mentioned that you can ski virtually anywhere
during the winter. For more information on cross-
country skiing, visit www.bullmountain.ca
