This route was traveled continuously during the Cariboo Gold Rush in the mid 1860's as thousands of miners making their way to the gold fi elds of Barkerville required rest and supplies for the remainder of their arduous journey north. 150 Mile House was one of the major roadhouse stops on this rugged trek and was once a prolifi c ranch.
