Soak up some culture at the attractive
log-constructed Gwen Ringwood outdoor
amphitheatre in Boitanio Park. The summer
concert series of Performances in the Park
are held every Thursday evening July 9th
through August 27th, 2009. Local and
visiting performance artists play a wide
variety of musical genres from rock and
pop, to country, bluegrass, gospel and
traditional... all for your entertainment at
no charge.
Surround yourself with nature by taking a pleasant walk
or ride down the well maintained and very popular
River Valley Trail, or by playing a relaxing round of golf
at one of the local courses. Stock up with
camping supplies, fuel up your boat
and grab a fi shing license before heading
out on your next adventure!
From Williams Lake you can travel in any
direction. To the south you'll travel to
150 Mile House on your way to or from
100 Mile House or Vancouver. A trip to
the east will bring you to the historic
communities of Likely and Horsefl y,
and if you are venturing west, you'll
fi nd yourself in Riske Creek on your
way to Bella Coola. Finally, if you are
heading north to Barkerville, Prince
George, or Alaska, be sure to stop at
Soda Creek or McLeese Lake.

The City of Williams Lake is the bustling hub of the Central
Cariboo and an ideal place from which to embark on all of your
adventures in the region. There are plenty of accommodations
and services at your disposal as well as many
easily accessible outdoor recreational, cultural,
and relaxation opportunities.
While in Williams Lake, enjoy dining at one
of a number of fi ne establishments or peruse
one of the many shops. Williams Lake is a
thriving service centre offering all major
amenities including a variety of accommodations,
coffee shops, parks, shopping centres, a hospital,
and a regional airport. As agriculture is a major
industry in the area, look for locally produced
food and other products for sale in the grocery
stores, at the farmers market and at specialty shops
around town.
Well worth a visit is the Museum of the Cariboo
Chilcotin, which features the BC Cowboy Hall
of Fame containing fascinating local artifacts and
heaps of information about the illustrious pioneering,
ranching, and rodeo history of the region.
